50th Anniversary Note from NESA President  - The National Eagle Scout Association

50th Anniversary Note from NESA President

NESA President and Distinguished Eagle Scout Frank Tsuru.

I want to personally thank you, and all our members as your National Eagle Scout Association celebrates Fifty Years of service to others!

And that is no small achievement in today’s world.  Think about it.  Since May 19th, 1972, Eagle Scout Alumni like you–from all walks of life– continue to make a positive impact throughout America and in some cases, the entire world.  Many are NESA members; astronauts, police chiefs, firemen, scientists, educators, medical doctors, corporate executives, high-ranking government officials, and other hard-working citizens.

In fact, few other distinctions in life create such a firm common ground as does becoming an Eagle Scout—and an active member of NESA.

Right now, your personal leadership and support in local BSA Councils is crucial to bringing the best of Scouting to local youth in your communities.  Your membership also makes a vital contribution in many other ways, including more than $500,000 in college scholarships annually, recognitions such as Eagle Projects of the Year, the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout and Distinguished Eagle Scout Awards, and in many councils, mentoring along the trail to Eagle.

Now is the time help call other Eagles to action.  Join-Give-Get Involved in your local council and by visiting NESA.org.

Thank you!  And Congratulations.
