"Those who become NESA Legacy Society Fellows really make a difference and help take NESA to the next level."

In 2013, The National Eagle Scout Association established the NESA Legacy Society for individuals to contribute directly to the national NESA endowment fund.  The NESA endowment supports Eagle Scout scholarships,  NESA committee service grants, career networking, and encouragement for all Scouts who wear the Eagle Scout badge.  Fellowship in the NESA Legacy Society is open to any currently registered youth or adult Scouter who has first been recognized as a James E. West Fellow, regardless of being an Eagle Scout or a member of NESA.

As of January 2023, there are over 400 members of the NESA Legacy Society.  The Longhorn, National Capital Area, Sam Houston Area, and The Pathway to Adventure councils are currently tied for the most members by a council with ten Scouters each.  You can view all members of the Legacy Society by visiting the NESA Legacy Society page on nesa.org.

How To Become a NESA Legacy Society Fellow

Gifting a NESA Legacy Society Fellowship is a great way to honor an Eagle Scout or other notable achievements.  To be gifted a fellowship, the individual must already be a James E. West Fellow.

NESA Legacy Society members receive a certificate, a device for uniform wear on the James E. West knot, and have their name listed on nesa.org.
