Married to grammar school sweetheart Karen. Empty nesters now, with a “Brady Bunch” of 5 children including Andrew (USAF and now forensic student UNT); Madeline (dual UNT alumna and a senior hospital administrator), Paige (dual Oklahoma alumna and Emergency Room RN), Michael (Texas Tech alumnus and Supply Logistics Director), and Alex (Collin College alumnus and Corporate Welder). Karen is an amazing cook, and we host everyone for Sunday Supper each week without fail. We dolt on granddaughter Harper and 2026 will bring two more grandchildren! We live in our “happy place” at Sammy’s Ranch, which we share with goats, chickens, shelter dogs and cats (including one very big Great Pyrenees), and a rather ornery donkey.

- Previous winner of the GRAND GOLD AWARD for alumni engagement from CASE, with a specific focus on alumni social media engagement, alumni value proposition, and promoter engagement.
